A Jamestown man was arrested after police say he refused to leave during a domestic dispute and broke the victim’s phone.

Officers were called to Charles Street on Tuesday and later took Kristopher Stearns into custody for second degree criminal trespass and two counts of fourth degree criminal mischief.

Police say Stearns refused to leave the victim’s home and then broke the victim’s cell phone by throwing it against the wall when the victim attempted to call police.

Stearns later left the home and was arrested by officers at a different location.
