A 35-year-old man faces multiple charges after police say he punched a 4-month-old baby in the face after arguing with the infant's mother over control of the television.

Police in Utica received a report of an injured infant around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Police say Gregory Lee had been arguing with the baby's mother, who wanted to watch a movie while Lee wanted to play video games.

The argument woke the baby. When the mother picked up the child, Lee is accused of punching the mother's face and then the baby's.

Police caught up with Lee after he left the home and charged him with assault, child endangerment and harassment.

The infant was treated at a hospital for a fractured eye socket and bleeding on the brain.
