An Amherst man is facing drunk driving charges following a two-car crash Sunday in the Town of Lockport.
First responders were called to South Transit and Tonawanda Creek Roads after police say 47-year-old Vecheslav Moroz rear-ended a car in front of him he was following too closely. The driver and passenger of that vehicle were taken to the hospital as a precaution and later released.
Troopers say Moroz failed field sobriety test and had a BAC of .18 percent, which is more than twice the legal limit.
Moroz was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, following too closely, moving from lane unsafely, and failing to use designated lane.
He is due back in court this week.
