Sturgeon Point Road is open once again, between Lakeshore Road and Route 5, after a serious car crash early Monday morning.
Police, fire and Mercy Flight were called about 3:00 Monday morning. Rolando Colon of Dunkirk was flown to Erie County Medical Center after he crashed, hitting a tree and trapping the 33-year-old in the vehicle.
Colon is listed in critical condition. He's facing charges of DWI and moving from lane unsafely.
The area was closed for at least two hours while police conducted their investigation.
