A Genesee County man is facing charges after police found he was carrying a stolen weapon and didn’t have a valid pistol permit.
On November 23, DEC officers found 63-year-old David Stone of LeRoy hunting on Morganville Road in Stafford. Officers say he had a shotgun, a rifle, and a .357 revolver.
Further investigation revealed Stone lacks a pistol permit and the revolver was reported stolen from a home in LeRoy sometime within the last three years.
Stone is charged with second degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and will also face DEC charges.
