A stop for a missing headlight ended with a woman being arrested for drunk driving on Sunday.
Around 2:30 a.m., troopers stopped Heather Bongiovanni on Williams Street in Dunkirk after noticing her front passenger headlight was out. Police say the 25-year-old Dunkirk resident failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of .14 percent.
Bongiovanni was arrested and charged with first offense DWI, first offense operating a motor vehicle with a .08 of one percent or more alcohol in blood and failing to use headlights with windshield wipers.
She is due back in court in January.
