Police plan to charge the mother of three children who were rescued from a burning car in Pennsylvania after she left them to go shopping inside a Walmart.
Foster Township Police Chief Tom Munn said Sunday that charges will be filed against the 32-year-old woman, possibly as early as Tuesday.
Munn says it's extremely lucky that the children, ages 10, 3 and 2, weren't hurt in the Friday afternoon incident.
He says passers-by in the parking lot rescued the children from the unlocked sport-utility vehicle. He says the 10-year-old had been playing with a lighter and accidentally set some papers alight.
The younger children were strapped into car seats.
Firefighters extinguished the fire, which caused heavy damage to the vehicle's interior.
