Niagara County student charged for school threat

A 16 year old student has been arrested and suspended after allegedlly threatening to bring a gun to the Niagara-Orleans Boces School in Cambria.

Tuesday, the school's resource officer was told by a school employee that the student mentioned that he would bring a gun to school and hide it in his pocket.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says the student was immediately removed from the school by officials and suspended.

The student, from the Town of Pendleton, was located at his home and interviewed by sheriff's deputies and charged with falsely reporting an incident in the 3rd degree.

The student was arraigned in Town of Cambria Court by Justice Amel Jowdy III. Bail was set at $1000.
