Officers say they found an open 16-ounce can of Busch beer on the floor of a vehicle of a suspected drunk driver.
Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Jamestown Police stopped Philip Baxter, Jr. after he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at Sturges and Price Streets. Officers say the 51-year-old Jamestown man was intoxicated and he had an open 16-ounce can of Busch beer on the floor of his vehicle.
A breath test reportedly revealed Baxter’s BAC to be more than twice the legal limit.
He is charged with DWI, failure to stop at a stop sign, and having an open container of alcohol inside a vehicle.
