Jamestown Police have taken two men into custody they say had the makings of a meth lab inside a duffel bag in their vehicle.
Officers went to West Cowden Place shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday morning for a warrant check and saw two men acting suspiciously behind the home and removing something from a vehicle.
Police approached the men and found the makings of a meth lab inside a duffel bag that had been removed from the pair’s vehicle.
Aaron Phillips, 34, and Justin Meacham, 33, were taken into custody and authorities called in a response team to clean up the chemicals.
Both are facing charges of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and three counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
