Buffalo Police are hoping a reward will be an incentive for information leading to the arrest of a driver who hit an elderly man with his vehicle and then fled on foot.

Around 9:30 a.m. on October 3, 2013, an elderly man was walking on Kensington Avenue when a white 1999 Pontiac Bonneville turned left onto Thatcher Avenue and up onto the sidewalk, striking the elderly man.

The vehicle got caught on a telephone guy wire and the driver fled on foot, leaving the victim lying on the sidewalk with serious injuries.

Little is known about the driver other than that he is described as a young black male in his late teens wearing khaki pants.

The vehicle involved in the accident was reported stolen later that same day. The suspect allegedly stole the keys to the vehicle during a burglary.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the driver of the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call 716-867-6161.
