A 17-year-old student in Orleans County is facing charges after two shotguns, beer and marijuana were found in his vehicle.
Troopers were called to Kendall High School Monday after officials reported the teen smelled like marijuana.
State Police say the teen consented to a search of his belongings and inside his vehicle they found two unloaded shotguns, a hunting knife, two cans of beer and a small amount of marijuana.
Authorities say that the weapons in the student’s vehicle were not for criminal activity.
The teen is charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds, unlawful possession of marijuana and an alcoholic beverage container violation.
He was issued a court appearance ticket.
