A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after having been struck by a vehicle that fled the accident scene.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. on Krueger Road in the Town of Wheatfield. The teen was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
Deputies are looking for a white sedan with front end passenger side damage. Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information is asked to call detectives at 716-438-3393.
