A loaded handgun was found in the carry-on bag of Erie County man who was ticketed to fly to Hong Kong, authorities say.
The weapon was found Friday at a security checkpoint by Transportation Security Administration officers at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The Akron resident had tucked the loaded .25 caliber handgun inside his carry-on bag and it was found during an x-ray scan.
This is the third gun TSA officers have found this year.
There is no word on what charges the man will face.
