Deputies say a woman was huffing aerosol spray in Wal-Mart’s bathroom on Christmas Eve while her 5-year-old son waited outside.
Around 8 p.m., officers were called to the Springville store by a loss prevention officer who allegedly saw Samantha Scinta, 25, of North Collins holding an aerosol can close to her face. Scinta was in Wal-Mart’s bathroom while she allegedly huffed the spray, leaving her 5-year-old son outside to wait for her.
Deputies searched Scinta and found a Suboxone strip and a bag of marijuana. She was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of toxic vapor and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Her son was turned over to the custody of a relative.
