Buffalo police are still investigating reports of an early morning shooing in the city's Hamlin Park neighborhood.

Police and AMR Ambulances were called to Hamlin Road just after 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

AMR dispatchers told us no one was transported to the hospital, when we spoke with them early Tuesday morning.

Detectives say a man in his late 40's was shot and died soon after. The victim's neighbor says, "he lost a brother" and the community needs to work together to stop this unnecessary display of hate.

This shooting marks the 6th homicide in the City of Buffalo, 10 days into the New Year - double that of last year's numbers in January.

No word on any arrests.
