Police are now investigating a kidnapping case in Jamestown.
Investigators say the male victim reported being abducted and held against his will for a, "period of time" at a home on Norwood Avenue. During this time, police say he was both mentally and verbally abused, while also being threatened with a gun.
During the investigation, police say they executed a search warrant on the residence and found illegal weapons, drug paraphernalia and deplorable living conditions. In addition, officers say they also found several animals, some of which are illegal to own.
At this point, police are not releasing the age of the victim, or saying how he escaped or left the home.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Mark E. Diers Jr. ,is now facing several charges including kidnapping, weapons possession and child endangerment. Further charges are possible. Diers is currently being held at the city jail, pending arraignment.
