New York State Police are investigating a two-car crash in Orleans County that killed a husband and wife.

Troopers say the driver of a Chevrolet Corsica was waiting to turn left at Route 31 and Taylor Road in the town of Ridgeway Sunday morning when the driver of a Ford Taurus hit the Chevy from behind. The driver of the Taurus never stopped, police said.

The driver of the Chevy, Rebecca Harrier, 38, of Kent, died at the scene. Her passenger, Randy Harrier, Jr., 39, was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where he later died.

The driver of the Ford, Matthew Stanton, 22, of Medina, was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Investigators say alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
