Police searching for mother accused of trying to bring two year-old into bar

New York State Police are looking for a woman who investigators say drove drunk and then tried to bring her two year-old child into a bar.

Cassandra Tomaselli, 26, is wanted on an active bench warrant. Police say Tomaselli walked into a bar in the Town of Niagara intoxicated in September of 2015, asked the bartender for a drink and asked if she could bring her two year-old child inside.

Tomaselli was taken into custody a short time later after police say she failed field sobriety tests. Her child was in the back seat of her car.

Tomaselli was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child and vehicle and traffic law infractions.

She is wanted for failure to pay in Town of Niagara Court on August 24, 2016.
