Prisons in Germany rehabilitating inmates better

Posted

Reform in prisons has become a hot topic amongst politicians, including presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

President Obama recently banned solitary confinement for juveniles, citing that it had serious psychological consequences on young inmates in federal prisons.

According to the International Centre For Prison Studies, the U.S. locks up more prisoners per capita than any other country on this planet.

Cells have doors, and prisoners have their own key to their cells.  And it looks as if Germany is having better results in rehabilitating inmates than the U.S.
