If you have a teenager in your life, you know that prom season is upon us. Most high schoolers already have a date or a friend lined up to go - but what if your school determined who you went with?
That's what one Illinois high school does. Catholic Aquin High School has students "draw" their prom date. There are only about 30 students in each class, and they say they love the idea.
The students say drawing dates has turned prom into more of a "group event", and that even high schoolers who have boyfriends or girlfriends enjoy going as a group with their friends. The "date draw" is a tradition that started in 1926, and if there is an odd number of students, someone might end up with two dates!
In celebration of prom season, 7 Eyewitness News morning anchor Katie Morse took a look back at some of the morning crew's prom memories.
