A prom promise was fulfilled in Buffalo Friday night.

We first introduced you to Libby Gaymon and her daughter Alexis on 7 Eyewitness News at 11 Wednesday night. Libby is facing terminal cancer, so Alexis decided to give her mom an experience she missed out on as a teen, by taking her to prom.

Family, friends and neighbors turned out in droves to send the Gaymon ladies off to the McKinley High School Senior Prom. Both women looked stunning for the big night.

"She's a very strong, intelligent woman," said Alexis about her mom. "Nobody's perfect but in my eyes my mom is perfect."

McKinley High School provided the swanky, black Escalade that took the ladies to prom in style.

From all of us at 7 Eyewitness News, we hope you have a wonderful time.
