BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Department of Health is reminding you to not forget about getting screenings for preventing cancer.

The health department is holding three cancer prevention screenings online for free.

Each presentation will focus on a different type of cancer and will each be 40 minutes long and take place at 6 p.m.

“We can’t let the current focus on COVID-19 distract us from being proactive about recommended cancer screenings,” said Commissioner of Health Dr. Gale Burstein. “These webinars will provide useful information to make decisions about your health.”

Here are the dates for the seminars

  • August 31st: breast cancer
  • September 28th: colorectal cancer
