WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — Williamsville South High School is hosting a seminar on vaping and addiction associated with vaping with a local doctor.
Dr. Frank Michalski of East Amherst says he hopes to help kids and their parents understand the dangers connected with smoking e-cigarettes, and how it can cause addiction.
For Michalski, this topic is a personal one, "when I was younger I had background with nicotine addiction, that's what drove me into it."
He developed a program called The #AddictionMindset; a seminar which focuses on the dangers associated with vaping; along with building up the potential of students.
The goal is for parents and kids to live healthier lifestyles.
"Parents [are] unaware of [the] cult collective, [which] brings kids into a group," Dr. Michalski says, "we're trying to pull them out of that nicotine culture and bring them back to a much healthier reality."

Families can attend the seminar at Williamsville South High School at 7, Wednesday evening.
