Red Cross in need of blood and platelets

The Red Cross is in desperate need of blood and platelet donations because of Hurricane Matthew.

The storm forced the cancelation of some 40 blood drives in the four states impacted by flooding and wind damage.

If you want to help, a blood drive is being held in Buffalo Wednesday at the Red Cross headquarters on Delaware Avenue.  It runs from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
