Reminder: As the snow flies, clear hydrants

The Depew Fire Department is reminding neighbors to make sure the fire hydrants around your home are cleared this winter.

It's the homeowner's responsibility to remove snow and ice and clear a three-foot-wide circle around the hydrant so firefighters can access it.

Homeowners also need a clear path from the hydrant to the street.  The Depew Fire Department posted a photo on its Facebook page with a diagram on what to do.
