With the NHL draft looming, the Sabres are closing in on a head coach to replace Dan Blymsa, according to multiple reports.
All signs point to Phil Housley being next head coach of the Buffalo Sabres. Question is how soon it will happen.

Elliotte Freidman from Sportsnet reports that all signs indicate Phil Housley, who spent last season as an assistant with the Nashville Predators will be the Sabres next coach. Darren Dreger, with TSN, adds a decision is expected before Monday.
Dreger also says that the Sabres didn't contact Pittsburgh assistant Rick Tocchet, who has been highly rumored as a candidate.
I'm surprised to learn the Sabres did not contact Rick Tocchet about coaching vacancy.
