UPDATE: January 10th - 55 year-old Louis Gagliardo of Olean is charged with failure to stop at a stop sign after he lost control of a mini bus, sending it over an embankment in the Town of South Valley.

Gagliardo was driving a school bus owned by Corvus Bus and Charter. The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office says Gagliardo drove through a stop sign at Bone Run Road, crashed through the guard rail on Wester Perimeter Road, causing the bus to land on its side.

There was a 4 year-old boy on the bus who was treated at the scene and released with no injuries. A female bus monitor and Gagliardo were taken to WCA hospital for neck and back injuries.

The bus went over a large embankment around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The road runs along the Allegheny River.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff tells Eyewitness News that the bus flipped over several times before coming to a stop at the bottom of the steep embankment.

Frewsburg Fire and Ambulance, Kiantone Fire and All Star Ambulance Service assisted the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office at the scene.
