Do you check to make sure you're getting in the right Uber car?

There have been reports from cities around the country about scams of individuals posing as rideshare drivers.

If someone gets into the wrong car, they lose access to safety features in the app such as GPS tracking, ability to share the trip, anonymized contact information and 24/7 customer support.

Uber's new campaign aims to reminder riders to double check two important details--the driver and vehicle--before starting a trip.

When a rider requests a trip through the mobile app, the app will show the driver's photo, name, the car make, model and its license plate number.

The campaign includes sending information to all riders and drivers through the app about ways to avoid this scam
