Igor Puzanov, M.D., M.S.C.I., F.A.C.P. Is a doctor at Roswell park who tests FDA-approved drugs on patients in clinical trials.

“I’m always looking for patients with melanoma, and the earlier the better,” said Puzanov.

He said at the hospital they’re in the middle of a study that has seen some success in patients diagnosed with melanoma.

This new trial is a combination of two treatment drugs: tilsotolimod with ipilimumab (brand name Yervoy). This treatment is injected into tumors and that makes the tumor “visible” to immune fighting cells which then can see and attack the tumor.

The trial is done only on patients who have had failed melanoma treatment before.

If you’d like more information, or to see whether you’re eligible - email Dr. Puzanov.
