Security changes are coming to the North Collins school district this academic year.
Starting Tuesday, September 4, the Junior/Senior High School will transition to a single point of entry during the school day. District leaders say this is to better regulate visitors coming into the building.
According to a statement by the school, students coming in late, parents and visitors must now use the entrance off School Street and sign-in immediately at the Main Office. Visitors will no longer be buzzed-in at the District Office/bus circle doors.
School leaders say the decision was made in cooperation with the Building Safety Committee and School Resource Officer.
