LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office is now warning people to watch out for a new phone scam that's now making the rounds; and it spoofs the actual numbers of the sheriff's office and Little Valley's municipal electric department.
The scammers allegedly pose as workers from "Little Valley Electric" or the "Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office Civil Division" and ask for your information and payments in the form of pre-paid gift cards.
These calls were reported Wednesday, and they came from the following numbers:

The sheriff's office confirmed to 7EWN that its actual number is being used but you should report any fake calls immediately to them at (716) 938-9191 extension 0.
