Should the U.S. ban spanking?

It's a controversial topic, is spanking an OK way to correct behavior?

A major study from BMJ Open suggests less physical punishment reduces youth violence.

Researchers examined countries across the world and their stance on Corporal Punishment.  The found children got into fewer fights where spanking and other Corporal Punishment was banned in schools and homes.

Spain, Ukraine, Germany and New Zealand are among the countries with full Corporal Punishment bans. The U.S., U.K. and Canada are among the countries with partial-bans.
