The nurses at Sisters of Charity Hospital of Buffalo gave one NICU baby a very special sendoff when he was finally ready to go home.
Bennett Beck was born weighing only 1lb, 9oz, and had to spend the first 78 days of his life in the hospital. His family tells us he was one of the first babies cared for in the new neonatal intensive care unit at Sisters Hospital. Weeks after he was born, he was finally strong enough to go home, and the hospital staff lined the halls and sang as his parents walked him out.
Bennett's mom Lindsay tells 7 Eyewitness News when he left the hospital he weighed 5lbs, 3oz. She says the NICU nurses were the best nurses the family could have asked for.
