Update: The 198 has reopened following today's 'Slow Roll' Buffalo event.
On Sunday, May 8, NY Route 198 eastbound, between Grant Street and Parkside Avenue, will be closed to motor vehicle traffic at approximately 11:30 a.m. for the first 'Slow Roll' Buffalo bicycle ride of the season. The closure is expected to last for several hours.
This is the kick-off for several slow roll events throughout the spring and summer.
Motorists should seek alternate routes and allow for additional travel time. Motorists are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
