A small earthquake struck off the shoreline of Lake Ontario Tuesday morning.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the 2.5-magnitude quake hit about 10 miles northwest of Somerset at 2:27 a.m.
The quake comes less than a week after a 2.2-magnitude earthquake rattled the ground under Lake Erie. The epicenter of that quake, which struck on July 7th, was about seven miles outside of Port Colborne, Ontario.
