ALBANY, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State's Attorney General is reminding anyone planning to protest at the State Capitol in the coming days to do so peacefully.

Attorney General Letitia James is vowing to take legal action against anyone who harms public servants or members of the public during protests.

The F.B.I. is warning state governments across the country that armed protests may happen ahead of and on Inauguration Day at state capitols.

Security around the capitol building in Albany has already been increased.
