We all know the arrival of the holiday season can mean putting on some extra pounds.  Experts are offering tips to stay trim, while still enjoying time with family and friends.

First, they recommend raising your heart rate through exercise, or even cleaning or dancing.  They also say it's important to eat breakfast because it gives you more control over your appetite.  Lastly, they say you should try not to overfill your plate, and eat slowly.
