Schmidt's Collision and Glass in Hamburg is rebuilding after collapsing because of the snow storm. This is just one of many businesses and residential structures that faced devastation after the snow pounded Western New York.

Garden Gate Nursing Home on Union Road in Cheektowaga had to evacuate its residents for the threat of the building collapsing and a gas leak. One person died after exposure to the cold and snow while they were being transported to another location.
Draudtz Farms was also destroyed because of the weight of the snow. They received $10,000 in damages. Other farmers are also suffering. Zittles has seen 90 percent damage. All three acres of their greenhouses collapsed.
As for residents, 20 people were evacuated from a mobile home park on Crab Apple Drive in Cheektowaga. Authorities feared that the weight of the snow would cause the homes to buckle under the pressure.
