Home surveillance video from Buffalo is showing just how important it is to make sure you lock your car overnight.
A man in Buffalo's Lovejoy neighborhood was caught riffling through someone's car on Gold Street. Neighbor Joseph Guzowski sent the video to 7 Eyewitness News. He says he normally locks his car, but must have forgotten. In the video you can see a man get off his bike, open the door of a truck, and search around the car. Then he rides away. Guzowski says all the man got away with was a water bottle, but he wants to warn other people to make sure they're locking their doors.
In recent weeks, police in Batavia and Lewiston have been urging folks to lock their doors as well, after a string of break-ins.
