At least one person is hurt in a crash involving two SUVs in downtown Buffalo.  One of the drivers crashed into an auto repair shop.

The crash happened just after 4:00 a.m. Wednesday at S. Elmwood and Tupper, right near the cut through to the 33.

A family of four people-- two adults and two children-- were in the vehicle that crashed into the shop. First responders say they were on their way to the airport to go to Disneyland. The mother was driving, she suffered "superficial" injuries. No one else was hurt.

One person was in the other vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

Elmwood Avenue was closed at Trinity and reopened about one hour after the crash.

The City Engineer and collapse team were called to the scene. The front of the auto shop was damaged, but a Buffalo Fire Department battalion chief says the shop owner may be able to do business today.

We've reached out to police for more information.
