For many it's a daily routine. Getting coffee from Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake Shop. But what do you really know about the man behind the name?

"I think anyone who is 45 or younger has no idea who Tim Horton the hockey player is", said Mike Gilbert, Buffalo Sabres VP of Administration and General Manager of HarborCenter.

Tim Horton's Hall of Fame NHL career stretched from 1949 to 1974. He won four Stanley Cup Championships with the Toronto Maple Leafs along the way. "The guy was a walking legend", said former Sabres defenseman and broadcaster Mike Robitaille. Robitaille played with Horton in Buffalo for two seasons during the 1970's.

An idol to many hockey fans, Horton was also a successful businessman who opened his first donut shop in 1964. 7 Eyewitness News Anchor Jeff Russo takes a closer look at the man behind the famous Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake Shop in the video above.
