It may not be an exaggeration to say that Michael Beam knows every square inch of the Castellani Art Museum on the campus of Niagara University. Michael has been the curator of exhibitions and special projects here for fifteen years.
In his twenty-six year career with museums he has curated over a hundred exhibitions. He says that the Castellani is very special "the advantage of our museum is that we rotate our collection very generously, we use what we have, there's always something new to see.
Michael will be recognized as a "Trailblazer" for his career and contribution to the local arts scene by Arts Services Initiative of Western New York at the 5th annual Spark Awards. Michael says "in a way everyone who works in a museum, in the culturals, in the theatre we are all trailblazers because we are working very hard in a challenging economy."
