Mother Nature can't take all the credit for that splash of color on Route 240 in Springville, N.Y. Ellen Krzemien started growing flowers for her home staging business a few years ago and began selling the extras at her dad's vegetable stand.
The way Ellen tells the story "they started selling out, and I started getting calls from brides and showers so I said to my husband why don't we just open the field and let them pick their own." The Flower Stand now attracts carloads of customers,
Ellen has carefully nurtured over a hundred varieties of flowers. Before she turns you lose in her garden she passes on a few cutting tips.
