HAMBURG, N. Y. (WKBW-TV) — Scott Donhauser has more than thirty years in the restaurant business, mostly as a chef. He may want to add "magician" to his resume. Last year he transformed Daniels-an upscale, pricey French restaurant into the fun, new eatery called Craft and Cork Gastropub.
Scott says that he and a friend did the redecorating of the place inside and out, adding a twenty-eight foot bar. The menu is now filled with what Scott says the customers wanted "smaller plates, easier food, lighter food" In addition there is a new patio on the front and side of the building.
The biggest change may be that Scott can now be seen in the front of the house. He says "I've been booted out of the kitchen a little bit. I have some great people and great chefs back there."
The Craft and Cork Gastropub on Buffalo Street in Hamburg will soon celebrate it's first anniversary. You can find more information at their website.
