Kenmore's iconic eatery has been serving up subs for sixty-three years

"Mike's" is the name on the sign outside but inside Sarah Jurewicz is in charge. Sarah has worked at the iconic eatery since she was fifteen. Mike's Subs opened in 1956. Growing up in the neighborhood Sarah says Mike's was always the "go-to" place to work for her and her friends adding "It got me through High School, it got me through college, it got a lot of people through college." There have been many changes in Mike's sixty-three years. The menu has grown by leaps and bounds, but Sarah says that the things people love have stayed the same "we have continued to sell the same product we have since day one." They sell pizza, home made cookies and salads now, but the main stay continues to be Mike's Subs. Sarah says that families have been coming to Mike's for generations, pointing out "there are people in the restaurant right now that I know have been coming in for years and years."
