The Center for Environmental Health released an official list of shampoos that cause cancer.
According to the a study on soaps and shampoos, the products you use to was your hair may be deadly. In fact, 98 of the products on the list have a potential cacinogen called cocamide diethanolamine (cocamide DEA), according to an article by American Web Media.
This carcinogen was listed in 2012 Prop 65 law in California which requires warning labels on products with carcinogens or reproductive toxicants.
Check your shampoo labels and stay away from products with these ingredients:
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfate/Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS)
- Fragrance
- Cocamidopropyl Betaine
- Triclosan
- Polysorbates
- Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
- Potassium Sorbate
- Phenoxyethanol
- Retinyl Palmitate
- Dimethicone
- Behentrimonium Chloride
- Quaternium-15
