Thousands participate in the Buffalo Marathon

The Buffalo Marathon made its way through the city early Sunday morning under sunny skies.

About 7,500 runners from 43 states and 13 countries laced up their running shoes for the full 26.2 mile and the half 13.1 mile treks. 

The men's full marathon winner, Tim Chichester, of Hornell, finished with a time of 2:18:06.

Chichester finished three minutes earlier than the 2017 winner.

The women's full marathon winner, Laura Anderson, of Rochester, finished with a time of 2:57:06.
