Threat prompts police presence at OP schools

Posted

There will be an increased police presence in the Orchard Park School District after a threat was found scrawled on a bathroom stall.

The threat was found in a stall in the middle school and police are investigating. In a letter to parents on Wednesday, Superintendent Matthew McGarrity did not specify what the threat said, but wrote to parents that “all threats…are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly.”

McGarrity promised to provide as much information as possible without jeopardizing the investigation. He asks anyone who can assist in the investigation to call Orchard Park Police at 716-662-6444.

In the meantime, there will be an increased police presence around the middle school and the school district.
