Ontario Specialty Contracting is moving full steam ahead with Saturday's implosion. Buffalo Police and other officials will start closing roads by 3 in the morning.
Residents are advised not to stand close to any windows during the implosion. Nearby residents who received a letter to watch the event in a safe location can be pick up their wristbands Friday at 40 Gates Circle between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
A 500-foot safety zone will be in place to keep spectators safe.
More than 300 pounds of explosives will be used to bring the former hospital down. Clean-up will take nearly three months.
Gates Circle will become the new home for Canterbury Woods, which will break ground by next year.
